U.s. department of state application fees
DS-11 Adult First-Time Passport Application Fee - $130
This passport application fee applies to anyone who meets at least one of the following conditions:
- Applying for your first U.S. Passport
- Under the age of 16
Your previous U.S. passport was either:
- a.) issued under age 16
- (b.) issued more than 15 years ago
- (c.) lost, stolen, or damaged
DS-82 Adult Passport Renewal Application Fee - $130
This passport application fee applies to anyone who meets at least one of the following conditions:
- You already have a U.S. passport in your possession
- Your passport book/card has not been damaged, mutilated, or reported lost/stolen
- Your most recent passport was issued when you were age 16 or older
- Your passport was issued within the last 15 years
- Your passport was issued in your current name, or you can provide legal proof of your name change (such as a marriage certificate or court order)
- Your passport was not limited to less than normal ten-year validity period due to passport damage/mutilation, multiple passport theft/losses, or non-compliance with 22 C.F.R. 51.41
U.S. Passport Card (Adult) - Fee $30
This wallet-sized card, durable plastic card serves as official proof of U.S. citizenship.
While it cannot be used for international air travel, it is valid for land and sea travel between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and select Caribbean countries.
Expedited (Rush) Service Fee - $60
This fee is charged by the U.S. Department of State if you request expedited passport processing.
1-3 Day Return Delivery Service Fee - $23.36
This fee is charged by the U.S. Department of State to expedite your passport back to you once processing has been completed.
This service is not offered if you are applying for a passport card only.
